This research study follows the descriptive-analytic method. It aims at identifying the logical reasoning types and their patterns in the episodes of the first season of the Sherlock series namely. Season 1 Episode 1 A Study in Rink 'Season 1 Episode 2: The Blind Banker', and Season 1 Episode 3 The Great Game. Following this is the analysis of how these logical reasoning types contribute to and help in solving crimes and cases. Moreover, in the identification of the logical reasoning types in the series, this research used Thomas DeMicheles' The Different Types of Reasoning Methods Explained and Compared. The analysis yields the findings that the three logical reasoning types — deduction, induction, and abduction, are used in the series. These reasoning types help solve the cases of the series in a way that with in-depth thinking of facts and evidence and in making use of observable details, it became a lot easier and faster for Sherlock to solve those cases
