In the midst of pandemic where face-to-face conduct of classes is not permitted, Mindanao State University in General Santos City opted to use the Google Classroom app as part of purchased package of Google suites as a Learning Management System tool.
The study followed a quantitative research design. Fifty (50) students of the said institution participated on evaluating the app as regard organizing and managing virtual classes, particularly on the their level of agreeableness on ease of use as well as the level of interaction between and among students, and their Instructors. Frequency distribution, percentage, ranking and mean were applied to analyze the data.
Results of the study revealed that the students at Mindanao State University General Santos City agree that Google classroom is simple to use. The ratings were based on the 5 Likert scale which means MSU students agreed about 7-8 out 10. The respondents also agree that students' interactions with their instructors on Google Classroom are pleasant. Students agree that Google Classroom facilitates teachers' and students' social interactions, particularly in terms of providing feedback to students. However, some students are dissatisfied with their classmates' brainstorming ideas in class. In terms of the respondents' level of satisfaction with Google Classroom, the students said they are satisfied.
