ADOPTION OF ORGANIC RICE FARMING IN KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO: FACTORS AND PRACTICES

Abstract

The study as carried out to examine the factors organic rice fanning in Koronadal City, South Cotabato. There are total of 9 organic rice farmers in the city thus total enumeration was done Moreover 9 conventional rice farmers were selected through random procedure were collected from 9 respondents through personal interview with structure survey questionnaire, Data are analyzed using descriptive statistics. cost and return and binan logistic model. In terms of age majority of the farner adopters are older than farm adopters. With regard to experience in farm in they have more or less the same experience. The profitability analysis shows that conventional rice farming average net income(per hectare per year) of P69,940 with a gross profit P69,100.00 it'll gross profit margin of 1.96 and ROI of 96 percent Hence organic rice farming is more possible. Attributes such as number of organic income from rice farming, and rice farm area are high significant. Thus, there are the factors which affects the adoption of organic rice farming.
