The poor and disadvantaged are disproportionately affected by COVID-19. Community health workers, particularly in countries with less resilient health systems, are positioned to play a critical role in the fight against the pandemic. The general content of this paper revolves on the COVID-19 Pandemic Response: Performance of Barangay BALANGONAN JOSE ABAD SANTOS DAVAO OCCIDENTAL. Assessing the initiatives and actions, the hindering and facilitating factors that affect the effective and efficient performance of the barangay. And its effects to the community.
This study applied a qualitative, quantitative and descriptive type of research. As a specific methodological choice for the study, it employed Key Informant Interview (KII), survey and archival research Qualitative data consist of open-ended information that the researcher gathered through Key Informant Interview.
The study found the responses of the barangay Balangonan were effective and efficient on reducing and eradicating the transmission of virus. The actions laid were substantial to the community for which it helped individuals lessen the risk of acquiring COVID-19. Finally, the barangay Balangonan did a sufficient response on the aspect of peace and order, education and in health.
