FOOD INDUSTRY OWNERS' PERCEPTION ON THE IMPACT OF ONLINE FOOD DELIVERY APPLICATIONS WITHIN GENERAL SANTOS CITY

Abstract

Online food delivery applications (OFDA) are becoming more popular worldwide, including in General Santos City. Many customers have relied on these application services since the pandemic has started thus, making the food industry thrive by offering such services to consumers. In this regard, this study is conducted to know the food industry owners' perception on the impact of online food delivery applications within General Santos City.
The perception of Food Industry owners is the independent variable whereas, the impact of online food delivery applications is the dependent variable. Data is gathered from 68 food industry owners within the Barangay Dadiangas North, South, East, and, West in General Santos City through online using Google Form and face to face survey conducted. Data is analyzed using Frequency and percentage and Weighted Mean. The findings of this study indicate that online food delivery applications have both negative and positive impacts on the food industry owners businesses.
