The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the greatest disruption to the educational system in human history, affecting nearly 1.6 billion students in more than 200 countries. The closure of schools, educational institutions and other learning spaces affects more than 94% of the world's student population. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of academic motivation and performance of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy students in Mindanao State University, General Santos City during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study employs a cross-sectional, non-experimental, descriptive-quantitative research design using a survey questionnaire as a principal instrument in gathering valuable and relevant data to 192 Bachelor of Science in Accountancy students of Mindanao State University-General Santos City. The findings of this paper, reveals that academic motivation is one of the significant factors that contributes to the performance of accountancy students in the academe. Accountancy students that tend to have a high motivation will tend to have a better performance in the university, otherwise the opposite.
