CLOUD ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE ADAPTATION: AN APPROACH TO OPERATIONS EFFICIENCY AMONG MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVES IN GENERAL SANTOS CITY

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of cloud accounting adaptation of Multi-purpose Cooperatives in General Santos City to its operations-efficiency, as well as determine the possible risks and benefits associated with its adoption. The study discussed the level of adaptability and level of operations efficiency in terms of speed, accuracy, cost, and accessibility. A descriptive-correlational research design was used to conduct the study. Data were gathered from a sample size of 49 Multi- Purpose Cooperatives in General Santos City using convenient sampling. The researchers collected data through physical visitation and through an online platform using Google Forms. Data were analyzed using 3 statistical tools: Frequency distribution, Average weighted mean, and Pearson correlation. Risk-benefits in terms of Speed, Accuracy, Cost and Accessibility had means of 4.61, 4.36, 3.31 and 4.21, respectively, with an average weighted mean of 3.84 defined as 'High' as the level of Adaptability of Multipurpose Cooperatives in General Santos City to Cloud Accounting. The Level of operations Efficiency in terms of Speed, Accuracy, Cost and Accessibility had means of 4.88, 4.27, 3.37 and 4.33, respectively, with an average weighted mean of 4.21 defined as 'Very Efficient'.
