THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CASH MANAGEMENT PRACTICES ON THE PROFITABILITY OF CHICKEN RESTAURANTS IN POBLACION, TUPI, SOUTH COTABATO

Abstract

Cash management has become a fundamental practice in keeping the business thriving. The objective of this study was to determine the effectiveness of cash management practices on the profitability of chicken restaurants in Poblacion, Tupi, South Cotabato. There was a total of six respondents whose responses were used in data gathering through survey questionnaires. The results gathered were analyzed using descriptive correlational approach. The data gathered shows that cash flow management and cash conversion cycle are highly employed while credit policy is only moderately employed in the businesses. In addition, the study also discovered that implementing these methods had a considerable impact on the profitability of the chicken restaurants in the said area. The implication of this study included that chicken restaurant owners can boost their profitability through proper implementation of cash management, imposing credit policy, and correctly handling the cash conversion cycle to an optimum level of the businesses.
