THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM IN BARANGAY SAN ISIDRO, GENERAL SANTOS CITY

This study delved into knowing the perceived effectiveness of the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Program in Barangay San Isidro, General Santos City. Inquiries were conducted to explore the hindering and facilitating factors that impacted the implementation of the said program. The study is a descriptive inquiry to show the reality in the implementation of the program in San Isidro, General Santos City. Data were gathered using surveys and key informant interviews with the selected residents and officials of the Barangay. Themes were generated to categorize data into relevant concepts addressing the questions of the study. It was found out that the implementation is perceived as effective. However, there is still room for improvement as several concerns and problems are affecting the implementation of the program that hamper the achievement of its goals and objectives.
