This study was conducted to determine the acquisition process of the
implementation of Republic Act 10752, "The Right of Way Act", otherwise known as Republic Act 10752: A Case of Barangay Libertad, Surallah, South Cotabato.
The Build, Build, Build Program, which established road improvements and projects around the country, prompted this investigation. The study objective is to see if the Right of Way Act, also known as Republic Act 10752, facilitated the acquisition of right-of-way in Barangay Libertad, Surallah, South Cotabato, as part of the Build, Build, Build Program. This study is qualitative research. The data was gathered through a Key Informant Interview with the Key Informant, namely, the implementing agency in charge of road right-of-way acquisition, and mixed research questionnaires with Open-Ended Questions and Likert Scale format administered to five respondents in Barangay Libertad, Surallah, South Cotabato. Furthermore, the researchers incorporated the archival data into their findings.
The findings revealed that public relations are a visible barrier in the right-of-way acquisition process in Barangay Libertad, Surallah, South Cotabato. The right-of-way was not implemented through the negotiation process by the implementing agency. The implementation process of right-of-way in Barangay Libertad, Surallah, South Cotabato has a grand mean of 2.80, which suggested that the respondents were neither satisfied nor unsatisfied. Lastly, In the implementation of right-of-way in Barangay Libertad, Surallah, South Cotabato, there were two reinforcing and one hindering factor.
