This study examined the Relevance of the Madrasah Curriculum in educational needs of the Students in Tupi South Cotabato. It caught the attention of classical and modern researchers and they studied its concept.
This is a Qualitative study. It describes the socio-demographic profile of the respondents, the curriculum their madrasah applied, contents of the curriculum, method of teaching, and examined the relevance of curriculum. It investigated the meaning and produced descriptive data using difficult and systematic methods of transcribing, coding, and analysis of the data, based on the answers provided of the respondents. The researcher used a non-probability sampling procedure through purposive sampling using snow ball technique which consists of identifying one subject and asking help from the informant to locate other students who were enrolled in the Madrasah and who are willing to be interviewed. The findings of this study implied that the students who were enrolled in a Madrasah where applied a purely religious curriculum learns more about their religion and it increased their piety, it helps them to have stronger faith in Islam and the madrasah that applies an integrated curriculum has an advantage in having a broader learning in Islamic Science.
In conclusion, the curriculum applied in the respective Madrasah of the Respondents has relevance in their educational needs as a student. The curriculum they are taught is practical and beneficial in expanding their understanding of Islam as well as their devotion.
This study's recommendations included employing a more enhanced form of curriculum to improved and developed Madrasah curricula. so that the students would have an advanced and widen understanding of Islam that they may utilize as a source in the future.
