IMPACT OF MODULAR MODALITY OF LEARNING AMONG THE GRADE 6 LEARNERS IF MADRASAH AT BALUNTAY ALABEL SARANGANI PROVINCE

Abstract

Due to the emergence of COVID-19 in the Philippines, a lot of changes happened in the educational system in madrasah. In response to this crisis and to ensure the continuity of learning while assuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all learners and teachers, the Madrasah in Sarangani implemented the Modular Distance Learning. Furthermore, this modality poses a challenge to the asatidz, parents and students because it exposes them to something different. It is in the above premise that the researcher is motivated to conduct this study to determine the impact of implementing modular modality in the Madrasah at Municipality of Alabel. The researcher employed descriptive method and used survey questionnaire for Thirty (30) respodents. The researcher found out that there is an impact of modular distance learning among the grade 6 pupils in terms on their focus in learning, self-motivation and academic performance. In addition, There are advantages and disadvantages of modular distance among the Grade 6 pupils. Lastly, the researcher highly recommended that the Asatidz should encourage parents to support their children through their guidance and assistance in accomplishing the modules and should conduct home visitation.
