THE MUSLIM ULAMA: THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MUSLIM COMMUNITY IN BARANGAY PANANAG, MAASIM, SARANGANI PROVINCE

Ulama play vital roles in Islamic society. They are the inheritor of the prophetic mission of propagating Islam, explaining Islamic concept and Laws.
The study determines the enormous contributions, challenges, and approaches of Ulama to the development of Muslim communities. This study aimed to examine the contributions of the Muslim Ulama to the development of the Muslim community in Barangay Pananag, Maasim, Sarangani Province. Its discussion examines the various contributions of the Muslim Ulama in establishing a common structure that shall not only unite but will address the yearnings and aspirations of the Ummah and Islam. A survey questionnaire was a man data-gathering instrument used in this study with 30 respondents. The respondents were randomly selected. The data were analyzed and interpreted using the frequency and percentage method.
