THE INTERVENTION ON PREVENTING INTEREST BASED FINANCING MODE AMONG THE MAGUINDANAON OFFICIALS AT SELECTED BARANGAY OF PALIMBANG, SULTAN KUDARAT

Interest has been always a part of the humans daily economic life. the concept of interest has attracted an intensive attention, studied and discussed by philosophers, religious scholars, lawmakers, administrators, and economists, regarding almost all economic, social, moral and religious aspects. Receiving interest was considered sin, condemned for being dishonorable, disrespectable, uncharitable, unjust, and source of many evils in many societies. Farooq, Mohammad Omar, (2007).

This study was conducted to determine the Intervention on preventing Interest based financing mode among the Maguindanaon officials at selected barangay of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat. This study will be significant and meaningful to the students and teachers of both Islamic Studies, researchers and Maguindanaon officials. The researcher used the Quantitative survey method and the respondent of this study were the Muslim officials at selected barangay of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat. The researcher used Purposive sampling procedure in selecting the respondents. The study shows that most of the respondents are aware in prohibiting Interest.
