THE CREATION AND CARRYING ON OF GKK SAN ISIDRO LABRADOR 3 IN PUROK 8, BARANGAY FATIMA, GENERAL SANTOS CITY

The Catholic Church sparked the formation of the Gagmayng Kristohanong Katilingban (GKK) to create a new parish to bring people together and spread the gospel. Furthermore, the GKK manages its community and organizes events to meet each member's spiritual and practical needs because of their autonomy.
This study dealt on the creation of GKK San Isidro Labrador 3, Barangay Fatima, General Santos City. The researcher utilized key informant to gather information, analyzed documents and captured images to complete the needed data for this study.
The data revealed that the GKK San Isidro Labrador was established on February 16, 1990. GKK San Isidro Labrador split into three groups, and its split was due to the zoning of Barangay Fatima on January 10, 2007. This was the period when the residents of Purok 8 created GKK San Isidro Labrador 3, with two additional GKKS. Originally, GKK San Isidro Labrador is located at Purok 11, but majority of its members were residing at Purok 8, and members of GKK San Isidro Labrador 3. Its formation involved: 1. sharing a chapel with the three groups of GKK San Isidro Labrador, 2. raising funds to purchase a lot on which to build their chapel, 3. the Bayanihan system, 4. settling for sharing a chapel with the three groups of GKK San Isidro Labrador till now, 5. planning and building a new chapel is still in process. According to the research, the creation of GKK San Isidro Labrador was their own choice and desire. They just wanted to have their chapel for the convenience of the residents of Purok 8. As the lack of transportation before and the Church was too far from them, they encouraged other members of Catholics in their area to have their chapel. Furthermore, the GKK San Isidro Labrador's participation aided the Parish and its events, resulting in a successful milestone while strengthening the members' relationships with the Lord. Finally, the researcher discovered that the GKK San Isidro Labrador did not give up despite the problems and conflicts they faced. As a result of their perseverance and faith, they found ways to make things work with their co-occupants while maintaining a positive relationship with them and conducting their activities. According to this historical study of a specific GKK, a church was made up of people who convened because of their faith and desire to spread the gospel.
