The purpose of this study was to recall how GKK St. James the Apostle (Sr. Santiago 3) emerged to be, including the requirements processes they did to make it happen, how they chose their patron saints, activities conducted within the parish and the GKK, the importance of the GKK to its members and the parish, and the constraints that the GKK has faced and the solutions they presented. The research utilized interview guides and documentary analysis.
The study revealed the people's desire to have their own GKK, aka St. James the Apostle, in their area to lessen the burden of having to travel far from their homes.
ADHOC officers assisted in the church's construction and listed the names of the Catholic believers in the community when the GKK was established on 2006. The GKK was initially sheltered at Holy Cross Parish Calumpang but was later transferred to Our Lady of Fatima Parish for convenience. The constraints GKK faced over the years, such as financial difficulties and the gathering of members, were discussed in this study. These problems were overcame by the initiatives of the GKK
officers.
As a result of the members' volunteerism and Bayanihan, GKK St. James the Apostle was established effectively. The body chose St James the Apostle by drawing lots when choosing their patron saint. In any way, the GKK's establishment significant impact on a Catholic believer's faith.
