THE CREATION AND CARRYING ON OF GKK SANTO NIÑO AT FAIRVIEW 1, BLOCK 7, PUROK 5, BARANGAY FATIMA, GENERAL SANTOS CITY

Every Basic Ecclesial Community (BEC) or GKK created an impact not just in spiritual aspect but also to the life and cultural aspect of the members of GKK Santo Niño at Fairview 1, Block 7, Purok 5, Barangay Fatima, General Santos City.
This study aimed to know the history and importance of the GKK Santo Niño to its members and the parish. In line with this, this study employed qualitative approach utilizing the historical and descriptive approaches in research and data gathering.
The result of the study revealed that the creation of GKK Santo Niño began when the GKK Santo Niño was divided, where the parish and the catholic community decided to have their own GKK officials and assembled the members for the selection of the patron. The study also sought to determine the following: (1) the process in creating the GKK; (2) process on how they chose their patron; (3) the activities of the GKK and the parish; and (4) the problems and how they solved it.
