GKK Saint John the Baptist is one of the GKKS under the Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Purok 20, Barangay Fatima, General Santos City. The concern of the study was the creation and the carrying on of GKK Saint John the Baptist and its importance to the members and the parish. The researcher used the Key Informant Interview and Document Analysis methods to answer the problems - to interview the present and former GKK officers, members, pioneers, and parish GKK Ministry coordinator and to analyze the presented documents.
Based on the gathered data, before the establishment of the said GKK, other Catholic members from Purok 20 were once part of the GKK Saint Joseph the Worker in Purok 21. Presently, the chapel where the GKK St. John the Baptist is located in the land once owned by Sammer Badtingan. He donated the 20 sq.m land for the GKK. The GKK chapel was installed on March 14, 2009. But in 2011, the chapel's name was renamed by draw lots from Sacred Heart of Jesus to Saint John the Baptist as suggested by Fr. Jonathan Zarcon. They celebrated its feast day every 24th day of June. The GKK Saint John the Baptist had faced common challenges along the way as it continued and responded with solutions. The GKK is important to the Catholic believers especially on Purok 20, which they used it to serve and preach the gospel of God.
