THE CREATION AND CARRYING ON OF GKK OUR LADY OF FATIMA AT PUROK 1 AND 7, BARANGAY FATIMA, GENERAL SANTOS CITY

GKK Our Lady of Fatima is one of the GKKS under the pastoral care of the Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Barangay Fatima, General Santos City. The concern of this study is the creation and the carrying on of GKK Our Lady of Fatima and its importance to the members and the parish. In order to answer this problem, the researcher uses the Key Informant Interview and Document Analysis method; interviewing the present and former GKK officers, members, pioneers and parish GKK Ministry coordinator, and analysing the available documents presented. It was revealed that the GKK started from a devotion to Our Lady of Fatima, then emerged as a chapel under parish pastoral care of Sto. Niño Bula then to Holy Cross Parish, Calumpang. Then it was officially established as a GKK in 1985 when the BEC/GKK became a thrust in the Diocese of Marbel. The GKK officers and members retained and continued to use the GKK name Our Lady of Fatima from its chapel name until now as identification of their devotion and their GKK. GKK Our Lady of Fatima had faced common challenges along the way as it continue and responded with solutions. The creation of GKK had been significant to the members and to the parish due to its role and support in the church's kingly, priestly, and prophetic mission.
