THE CREATION AND CARRYING ON OF GKK SAN JUAN DE BAUTISTA IN PUROK 13, BRGY. FATIMA, GENERAL SANTOS CITY

GKK San Juan de Bautista in Barangay Fatima Purok 13, 37th IB General Santos City, is one of the forty-six GKKS under the Our Lady of Fatima Parish General Santos City. The concern of this study is the creation and the carrying on of the GKK of San Juan Bautista and the importance of the GKK to the Parish and its members. In order to finish this paper, the researcher uses the Key Informant Interview and Document Analysis methods. The researcher interviewed the present and past officers or the pioneering people of the said GKK, and then analyzed the document they provided.
The data revealed that the GKK San Juan Bautista started in devotion to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary. Later it became the GKK of San Juan Bautista. It was established on September 09, 2005, and still under the Our Lady of Fatima Parish up until now. GKK San Juan Bautista faced common and different challenges, and the members responded with practical solutions. The establishment of the GKK became significant to the Parish and the people of 37th IB Brgy. Fatima, General Santos City because of its support and role to the community.
