THE CREATION AND CARRYING ON OF GKK SANTO NIÑO AT FVR VILLAGE 17-A, BARANGAY FATIMA, GENERAL SANTOS CITY

There are 46 GKKs formed under the Our Lady of Fatima Parish. One of these is the
GKK Santo Niño at FVR Village 17-A, Barangay Fatima, General Santos City.
This study aimed to explore and discover the process of how the GKK Santo Niño has been created, its history (written or not), how the members chose its Patron Saint, and their performance as lone GKK. This study was a qualitative research and employed historical and descriptive approaches in research to achieve the study's objectives.
The result of the study revealed that GKK Santo Niño was once a part of the mother GKK Santiago. The reason why GKK Santo Niño was created is because of the increasing population of the mother GKK. Santo Niño became their Patron Saint following when the lot for the GKK was donated. The study also revealed that the GKK Santo Niño is a semi- active GKK according to the coordinator of GKK-Kriska Ministries.
Therefore, this study concluded that GKK Santo Niño had underwent inevitable constraints but with the active participation of the members, those were minimized. The GKK would continue to succeed in the future if the members would be consistent in giving and sharing their blessings to their GKK.
