Several millennia have passed, and history has seen the emergence of
countless religions. Since the year of Christianity's widespread adoption, the concept and practice of cultural adaptation have been taught regularly in the Philippines. The primary goal of this research is to look into the historical aspects of the GKK Santo Nino, located in Upper Purok 16 in Barangay Fatima.
The dedication of the child Jesus is known all around the world. None, however, can match the passion and cultural significance in Philippine history and the faith that characterizes their love.
They chose Santo Nino to be the GKK's face. The officers and members agreed to utilize the image of the holy child. Another explanation is that they believe it will lead them when hauling fish because Santo Nino arrived in the country by ship. The majority of the inhabitants in the vicinity are fishers.
The study determined that the chapel's construction reflects the location's story and its impact on its residents. Furthermore, some members are inactive owing to health awareness and aims, the pandemic, and the KrisKa sessions. Finally, photos of the GKK Santo Nino of Upper Purok 16, Barangay Fatima, General Santos City, will be used as proof to support to provide information and credibility of the study.
