THE CREATION AND CARRYING ON OF GKK OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP IN PUROK 6, BARANGAY FATIMA, GENERAL SANTOS CITY

The existence of the GKKS in Barangay Fatima, General Santos City, has not only improved the spiritual aspects but also helps for the unity of the residents in the said community. It also guides them in the growing of their faith in God.
This study aimed to discover the latent history of the GKK of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Barangay Fatima, Purok 6. This study applied the historical approach and conducted interviews to describe the creation and carrying on of GKK of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
This study revealed that the GKK of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was organized on November 19, 2005, where the process of creating their GKK was a blended idea of different leaders from the parish as Catholic believers. They pushed the assembly of the residents to choose their patron saint and the steps in the building of their chapel. Furthermore, five major officers choose through the majority idea of the members.
The data also presented that this specific GKK conducted several activities every month within their group or the Parish. The GKK Our Lady of Perpetual Help has also faced challenges, but they were able to surpass them.
