Modernization plays a vital role in coping with the change in education and sudden shift to online learning. Thus, this emerging situation has brought about new realities that made education technology a necessity. This study determines the effect of YouTube in the English Language Proficiency of the Grade 7 students of General Santos City National Secondary School of Arts and Trades. Using pre- test and post test and 15 YouTube videos as intervention, it determines the level of language proficiency of the students in terms of grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension as well as its significant improvements during the pretest and post test. The data reveals that the students are approaching developing terms of grammar, proficient in vocabulary, developing in reading comprehension and over all on the developing level in English before the pretest while they become approaching proficient in grammar, proficient in vocabulary, and proficient in reading comprehension and over all approaching proficient level in English after the post test. Thus, the value of improvement obtained using the z- test is considered strong enough to be significant.
