This study entitled "Language Preference in Teaching Mathematics: Development and Validation of Mathematics Workbook for Tagakaolo IP Learners", this sought to answer three research problems. It determined what is the language preference of Grade 3 Mathematics teachers in teaching mathematics. This paper developed and validated a workbook as a printed instructional tool for teaching mathematics using Kaolo dialect. This study used quantitative approach in analyzing the level of validity and acceptability of the workbook in terms of format, language use, content, appropriateness and evaluation of the material. The findings of the study showed that the language preference of all the Grade 3 teachers in teaching mathematics is Kaolo especially in giving lectures for their learners and in assigning activities. On the other hand, the table of specification have two-thousand four hundred ninety (2490) test items or activities prepared for the learners whereas the highest number of items is found in understanding (18.35%) and the rest were almost the same. The mean of 4.59 indicated that the developed workbook is "very highly acceptable" which means that the workbook is ready for legitimate use.
