The introduction of Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education seems to challenge parents, especially those who assist their children. The present study was conducted to determine and describe the knowledge, the challenges, and how MTB- MLE influenced the children of the Grade 1 parents from H.N. Cahilsot Central Elementary School II/Calumpang Elementary. To acquire the data essential to the study, the researcher conducted an in-depth interview with the participants. Upon saturating the acquired responses from the participants, the researcher found out that the parents lack knowledge about the MTB-MLE program but see it as advantageous to the child. Furthermore, parents experience difficulty in understanding some of the terminology and the lack of changes in the MTB-MLE program. Lastly, parents gave reasons why they could not aid their children due to the lack of home-based reinforcement and the preference for face-to-face classes. Parents included the challenges of supporting the family while assisting their child's learning, which became one of the reasons why they barely see the influence of the MTB-MLE on their child's learning and added their preference for face-to-face classes so their children can be taught by their teachers. According to the results, the success of the MTB-MLE program seems to be ambiguous, notably in HNCCESII/CES, which means that the program requires more improvement and a good partnership with schools, especially the parents, to address more of their difficulties and apply them to the success of the MTB-MLE program.
