Hyperbole is commonly used in an informal conversation in an informal setting. This project focuses on the language comprehension of Tboli youth through the given hyperboles. It aims to determine their level of comprehension of the Tboli language. It also aims to investigate if the settlement of other group of people in Tboli municipality affects the use of Tboli language. In order to determine the level of comprehension, 30 hyperboles was listed down and used as a tool. A likert scale was also given for the basis of comprehension level. The scores were solved quantitatively through the use of frequency distribution table. Moreover, focus group discussion method was used to perform the research. The result was, in 100 % there are 28% who are excellent in comprehending the hyperboles and 73% who are very good. Out of 30 items of hyperboles the average score of the 40 respondents was 23.15 which implied a very good level of comprehension. The findings of the study revealed that the other group of people who settled in Tboli municipality did not affect the comprehension of Tboli language of the Tboli youth. Lastly, the Tboli language is far behind from extinction as the community uses and practice the language well.
