Using descriptive-content analysis, the study aimed to identify and classify the errors committed by the Grade 10 of General Salipada K. Pendatun National High School. The research was conducted by the use of descriptive method. For their errors to be identified, written compositions of the students were collected. Subsequently, the errors were identified and classified based on the most committed errors in grammar: word order, tense, subject-verb agreement, Preposition, and in mechanics in writing: capitalization, spelling, and punctuation. The results of the study showed that the students had common errors and difficulties in word order and capitalization. These errors are due to students making long sentences at the same time forgetting the rules of grammar and mechanics, especially in Word order and Capitalization. The learning materials that can be used to improve errors in Word order are Correction Codes and Intelligent Tutoring System for Capitalization.
