This study is qualitative in nature that utilized descriptive-content analysis in determining the morphological processes and the variations in the word formation of Maguindanaon language in Kabuntalan, Maguindanao Province and Maasim, Sarangani Province thereby knowing the implications of morphological variation to the language used. This study interviewed three respondents from each area mentioned using modified and adopted questionnaire. Findings show that there are morphological processes employed in Kabuntalan, Maguindanao Province and Maasim, Sarangani Province like affixation, deletion and reduplication process. There are variations employed used different affixations to signify tenses wherein the word formation is the same but the meaning is different and different in words but the same in meaning. The used of Maguindanaon language in Kabuntalan, Maguindanao Province varies from the Maasim, Sarangani Province, the words used in each place vary in morphological processes. The meaning of words are affected to the extent that they cause misunderstandings even though they use the same language.
