This study is qualitative in nature that employed content analysis. The study utilized Formalistic Approach and Sociological Approach specifically Feminism in analyzing the women characters during the Japanese Annexation to Korea and how they have fought to free their land. The result showed that women characters have face a lot of challenges in their own society and have always been battling for their recognition. Their efforts to be recognize, however, is seemingly rooted deeply from their tradition, which views are dominantly favourable to men. Women have been the subject of personal and political advancement. They have been used to solidify the status of a patriarchal family. Moreover, women are used as a display of men's wealth and status during their time. They also need to work harder than men for them to survive, as women have not been given much importance in the society. They have always been at the disadvantage, be it in economy, governance, education, jobs, and a lot of opportunities that only given to men. Thus, women have come up to a certain resolution, to fight the tyranny of their patriarchal society and to prove that they can also do what men can, and more. Women's strong desire to change the society's view on them has led them to make decisions that go against the society itself and commit rebellious actions against their tradition that conform their society. They joined movements, they educate themselves, and they interfere in the government's affairs. They have undergone a lot of challenges to make a point and to solidify their importance in the society, thus, they made themselves significant and useful as the society, itself, do not. Their contribution to end the tyranny of the Japanese regime is very integral, not only to women but also to the history of Korea.
