Demotivation is relatively new issue in the field of English language learning. Demotivating factors are essential factors which negatively influence the learner's attitudes and behaviors and hence lead to undesired learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to determine the demotivating factors, effects and solutions to overcome these demotivating factors among Senior High School students of Alabel National High School, Alabel Sarangani Province using Modular Distance Learning. Demotivation questionnaire were administered to 178 senior high school students through google form and conduct an interview via phone call to confirm the quantitative data. The study used Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software to analyze the dat. The study found out that classroom environment-related and learning content and materials-related are the most frequently demotivating factors for English Language Learning among Senior High School students. These demotivating factors cause students to have low self-esteem that resulted in poor academic performance. As to students' solution to overcome these demotivating factors, modules should be written concisely and teachers and students should have an efficient interaction.
