This study, entitled "Psychoanalysis on the Major Characters of Money Heist," aims to analyze the actions, speech, and thoughts of Berlin and The Professor in the Netflix-adapted television series Money Heist by applying the literary theory of Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis. In particular, their pleasure principle in terms of sexuality, fascination with death, and fear. Furthermore, it will discuss the differences in their pleasure principles that will affect the heist itself. Additionally, this study is highly qualitative and will employ comparative content analysis. The results revealed Berlin's destructive and sadistic characteristics. It also revealed the professor's obsessive character towards justice and revenge, as well as his fear of intimacy. All in all, it is concluded that the main character's pleasure principle is the perfect comparison of each
other.
