Very high and high level of comprehension in vocabulary skills using context clues can be achieved due to the help people and online sources; and in achieving a very high level of comprehension in vocabulary skills, students must enhance their vocabulary skills with the use of learning strategies using context clues. In this study, context clues and its types are used to know the level of comprehension of Grade 9 students from Malandag National High School in vocabulary using context clues. The data used in this study are the results achieved by students in each type of context clue from the test that was given, the results are then analyzed and determined whether the level of vocabulary skills in reading comprehension using context clues is very high, high, moderate, low or very low and the following are its findings: first, based on the results, the levels on vocabulary skills in reading comprehension using context clues are determined. Second, can enhance their vocabulary skills using learning strategies using context clues. Third, the results, lead to the development of a learning plan that may help the students in enhancing their vocabulary skills in reading comprehension using context clues.
