This study is qualitative in nature that employed content analysis. The study utilized Formalistic Approach and Psychological Approach in identifying and discussing the main character's characteristics and his behaviour based on the theories of Freud's, Lacan's and Maslowe's that is the justification of his actions in the Trilogy Novel: Fifty Shades of Grey. The results showed that Christian Grey (the main character) is naturally genius and intelligent, prideful and has eagerness and strong desire to change the world. Because of the main character's desire of creating a perfect and crime-free world, the main character have the actions of manipulating, controlling, domineering, and using women as object for his coping up mechanism. Moreover, the theories used here both justified and invalidated Christian Grey's actions: as Freud's theory states that, the behavior of a person is the result of the interactions among three component parts of the mind: the id, ego, and superego; as Lacan's theory states that, the "Mirror stage" as the formative of the self; as Maslowe's theory states that, there are five-tier model of human needs to be met. Christian Grey committed actions that both protect and destroy himself which he wished to escape. He may only dream and aspire to have a less violent world, but he will never create and control a perfect world since he himself has inner demons to battle with that he can never contain and cope with. Thus, there is no such thing as a bad person in nature, but past experiences dictate who he becomes and with other's help and determination, he can change. And still can be returned to be good in nature with other's help and self determination to do so.
