ORAL READING FLUENCY LEVEL OF GRADE 8 STUDENTS IN DATU PAGLAS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

The study determined the oral reading fluency of grade 8 students it involved thirty (30) students who were officially enrolled at Datu Paglas National High School during the school year 2019-2020.this study used a passage questionnaire to identify the average reading speeds of the students and to identify the percentage of their level of words. The data were statistically analysed using Pearson the result showed that the average reading speed of the student is 124 word per minute; on reading accuracy of the student, specifically, the students are in the Instructional Level (93.06%). Seventeen (51%) of the student full under the independent level, four (12%) of the student full under the Instructional level and nine (27%) of the students full under the frustration Level; all the respondents were rate as Good Progress.
