Author

Abstract

The aims of this study were to determine the behaviour of wind velocities with regards to time and the subsequent power produced in the coastline of Bula using wind power generator prototype. The prototype was made of 93cm diameter blades, 8 and 3 inches pulley, 220V AC generator, and 220V-9Watts bulb for the load Data were recorded in a 20 minute interval daily for twelve days in three different locations. Four tests in each location were conducted during the period. For the relationship between wind velocity and time, the study found that from 11 am to 6 pm was the optimum time for power generation to be feasible. Outside of the time interval were low velocity winds.
