Abstract

Security plays a vital role nowadays. Various security techniques were implemented even before, but still some intruders outsmarted these styles of encryption. The uniqueness of a person's fingerprint somehow reduces the risky attempts of unauthorized people who try to have access to a certain user's protected valuables. The fingerprint's prowess led the researchers to improve a fingerprint-based biometric security system, but limited for lock boxes only. Therefore, this study will not include security for larger things like doors, gates, etc. Instead of only one user, this project can be used by many, and this is because of the device's additional features.

This study doesn't focus on the box. Aside from securing that the box is not easily accessed using brute force, it was only designed to have no other ways of opening other than that of the users' fingerprint. The rest of the study is all about the circuitry and programming of the multi user fingerprint security.

After testing the project, the researchers found out that the fingerprint module's task can be showed not only via serial monitor but also any other means of display just like in LCD. The box also must be well-carved so that· the solenoid lock will be free from obstacles when it activates through the relay. And also, the power source will be really insufficient if only one will be used, because power consumption of each devices varies according on how they're connected; some of them consume plenty amount of current, and will lead to fast draining if a lone dc supply is used.
