Looking forward with the situation of the country were in still developing among others and to be notice that the Agricultural system is lacks of some equipment for any planting process. Since, today's era is marching towards the rapid growth of all sectors including the Agricultural sector. The discovery of Agriculture is the first big step towards civilized life, the advancement of agricultural tools is the basic trend of agricultural improvement.
Planting/sowing is the most important process in farming. It is a very tiring and time- consuming process that requires a lot of human effort. It was focused on a corn seed sowing or planting process using an automatic vehicle. This project goes to develop a robot that could capable of performing an operation which is planting the corn seed. The vital construction of the robot is made little complex in terms of its mechanism with the help of electronics device such as microcontroller and sensors. The qualitative development of this project requests for a system which minimizes the time for seed sowing operation.
Automation is the ideal solution to innovate our agricultural sector by developing machines that perform one operation and automating to increase the income on a large value. For that, we are going to automate the corn seed sowing process. It was consider the idea of innovating the agricultural sector without harming the environment and also the health of the farmer especially in the cases of using machines that uses a gas or oil which it emits carbon monoxide which is not good both for the environment and the farmer.
Through this research it may contribute for the innovation of the agricultural sector even though this robotic planter is being operated by AC to DC power supply, where if any failure occurs whole system will not work properly and this robotic planter requires more energy exerted in hard soil, the more the energy being used the more costly it is and also its component is quite costly and in many cases electronics is not quite improved to use in farming for the electronics that being used may damage which lead for the maintenance to be more costly, however by continuing the innovation in using electronics in farming, is not impossible for our technology now a days is really improving and innovating more.
Seed planting robot will move on various ground contours and perform planting the seed where it consider the spacing of plant to plant, the depth of seed and the number of corn seed to be planted. The paper spells out the complete installation of the machine including hardware and software feature.
During the testing of the system every component works however the DC motors and pears. That are connected to the wheels is failed to move because of the heaviness of the body itself, also the wheels and are too small. On the other hand instead of using battery use we used power supply (AC to DC power supply) to reduce the heaviness of the body but still the robotic planter can not move.
Using a larger DC motors and bigger wheels and lighter materials being used for die body may result to this robotic corn seed to work. And for more innovation the mechanism of dropping of seed, the spacing of seed to seed. The depth of seed and also the number of seed to be planted must not fixed rather it can be adjust so that this robotic planter is applicable to more types of seed.
Through this research it can conclude that improving or innovating by the help of electronics in farming is really a possible thing, though it encounter difficulties with it and said that using electronics in farming is not well improved for electronics may not last long for the components are prone to damage when it comes in using those components in farming. But hoping it could contribute in innovating this idea of using electronics in farming for the good of everyone.
