Abstract

As the leading country when it comes to text messaging and social media, it is important that loading stations are developed for the convenience of customers here in the country. This system is a coin-based mobile phone loading station that supports any network provider available in the Philippines. GSM connectivity through the use of the SIM800L GSM module makes the loading process possible. The system uses a keypad as a means of input for the necessary load details (phone number, load credits) from the customer. The load details keyed in on the keypad are displayed on the LCD. The LCD serves as the guide of the customer throughout the whole loading process. The system uses a multi-coin acceptor to accept the payment of the customer. The Philippine coin denominations that can be accepted are 1.00, 5.00, and 10.00 peso coins. Every load transaction is saved in a text file that can be found on the micro SD card. Arduino is used as the platform for the integration of all codes and programs of the different electronic devices used. As an open-source platform, it enables the changing and modification of the codes at any time. The mega microcontroller embedded in the Arduino Mega 2560 board is the brain of the system that receives, transmits, reads, and interprets all the data from the devices attached to it. No problem was encountered during the testing of all the processes of the system. The system works successfully overall and can be commercially produced for the use of every citizen.
