Abstract
This study is concerned with the differences and similarities found between the selected works from the book of Arthur Conan Doyle that inspired the BBC's version of the motion picture. The logical reasoning in the book and the series were identified. analyzed, and categorized according to its types for a comparison to be made. The results yielded a single similarity and numerous differences mainly because of the difference in the format. In conclusion, although the latter is born from the idea of the latter, the book and the series are shown to be more different than similar.
