The study to determine the feed consumption, percent of spillage, feed conversion ratio, weight gain, mortality rate and income over feed and chick cost (IOFCC) of Kabir chickens fed on different types of commercial feeding troughs was conducted at Mindanao State University-General Santos City from October to December 2017. The experiment was laid out in a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments consisting of linear feeders, circular feeders and feeding trays with three replications. Birds fed on linear feeder consumed 2.68 kg per bird; 1.93 kg consumed on circular feeder while those on feeding tray consumed 2.29 kg of feeds. Birds fed on linear feeder had 7.43% of spillage; 8.97% of spillage of birds fed on circular feeder and birds had 30.76% of spillage fed on feeding tray. Birds on linear feeders gained a weight of 0.98 kg; 0.71 kg are those on circular feeder and 0.90 kg was gained on feeding tray. The feed conversion ratio per bird on linear feeder was 2.67;2.70 on circular feeder and 2.53 that are fed on feeding tray. No mortality was recorded during the conduct of the study. Statistical analysis showed that birds on linear feeder earned the highest income of Php 87.83 per bird; Php 38.81 per bird for circular feeder and Php 80.04 per bird for feeding tray, respectively.
