THE EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT LEVELS OF FERMENTED COPRA MEAL ON THE GROWTH PERFORMANCE OF COBB BROILERS

Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the effects of different levels of fermented copra meal on the feed consumption, live weight gain and feed conversion ratio of Cobb broilers as well as its economic returns. The study was conducted at Mindanao State University-General Santos from March 14-April 19, 2017. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used in the study with four treatments replicated three times. There were 3 birds in each replication. Treatments used in the study were Commercial Chick Booster Mash (T1), 90% Commercial Chick Booster Mash with 10% Fermented Copra Meal (T2), 80% Commercial Chick Booster with 20% Fermented Copra Meal (T3), and 70% Commercial Chick Booster Mash with 30% Fermented Copra Meal (T4). The study revealed a significant difference among the treatments on live weight gained. Meanwhile there was no significant difference found among treatments on feed consumption and feed conversion ratio.
