Abstract

The effects of (Crescentia cujete) calabash juice in the water ration on Cobb Broilers was conducted to specifically evaluate the water consumption, feed consumption, weight gain, feed conversion ratio, mortality rate and income over feed chick and cost from February 13 to March 24, 2018 at the College of Agriculture Poultry project, Mindanao State University, Fatima, General Santos City. The study was laid out in a completely randomized design (CRD). A total of 36 heads Cobb broilers were distributed to four treatments, T1 (control), T2 (50ml calabash extract + 950ml plain water), T3 (100ml calabash extract + 900ml plain water), T4 (150ml calabash extract+850ml plain water) with Three replications and four birds assigned to each replicate. The study revealed that the experimental water rations had no significant difference between means on all parameters measured. However, it has been observed that the birds no given calabash extract gave the highest IOFCC (P44.63), followed by birds given 5% calabash extract (P38.26), then followed by birds given 10% calabash extract ((P27.088) and lastly, given 15% calabash extract obtained the lowest IOFCC of (P13.288). The researcher concludes that the statistical analysis showed that there is no significance among treatments.
