Cost Analysis Of Using Reinforced Concrete, Wood And Steel In Floor System

Abstract

The study was conducted in order to provide a reference on costs of using reinforced concrete, wood and steel in construction of suspended floors at the same time the structural specifications. The researcher designed floors using these materials with same dimension and loads. The design parameters were based on NSCP 2010 while the prices were based on hardware stores in General Santos City. The study showed that wood is best used in floor dimension from 2 x 3 m to 3 x 8 m while concrete is best used at 4 x 4 m to 8 x 8 m.
