Wilight is an Androld Applicatlon developed to romotely and wirelensly control the centralight, an Arduino-based WIFI-enabled contralized lighting system, hence acting as the client in the system. Wilight focuses on the development of a fully-functional Android application that serves as the partner of centralight and will enable any user to operate the lighting system from an Androld device using its Graphic User Intertace (GUI). Through a three-phase experimentation process, Unit, Integration, and System Test phases, centrallight and wiilight was developed. Android Studio IDE was used in Androld Application Development. Unit test was conducted to verify if wilight can sond and receive data to and from centralight. The integration tests were conducted to test the operations and behaviors of Centralight and wilight when they operate togther. Finally, the system tests were conducted to test the whole control lighting system and note its behaviors, As a result, an Android Application was developed that is capable of establishing communication, and switching and dimming of lights, and can deal with back and home key functionalities. Furthermore, Services and Notifications were successfully added that improved the responsiveness of the Android Application. However, one problem encountered was that if the centralight stops working the wilight Application stops and was not responsive. Upon this occurrence, whenever centralight stops working, wilight must instead send a notification that the connection was lost and must be always responsive.
