Since traffic rules and regulations are essential to road safety, it is a prerequisite for every aspiring driver especially professional drivers to be proficient in this subject, Good driving attitudes wouíd absorutely lessen road accidents. Road accidents can be greatly minimized if drivers would only learn and follow traffic Jaw. Pujs or Public Utility Jeepneys are the primary mode of transportation in Mindanao State University- GSC. Assessing the awareness of jeepney drivers to traffic rules and regulations would certainly improve the performance of the drivers and also increase the level of safety of the passengers. The study aims to assess the level of awareness to traffic rules and regulations ofjeepney drivers in Mindanao State University- General Santos City. The questionnaire used in the study is composed of 30 items and is divided into two parts that covers general traffic rules and regulations. The test is based on the LTO Reviewer. Based on the results, the following were observed: 12º/o of the drivers have scores within 60%-70%, 48% have scores falling under 70%-80%, 20% have scores between 80%-90%, and the remaining 20% arso have scores within 90%- 100%. Lt follows that 88% of the drivers have passed the test while the remaining 12% have failed. Lt implies that majority of the respondents in Mindanao State University- GSC are aware to traffic rules and regulations and possess considerable knowledge on the rules of the road. On the other hand, there were 3 drivers who have failed to obtain 70%, and above scores that implies lack of awareness to traffic rules and regulations. Most of them have obtained satisfactory scores (within 70%-80%). Ln addition. 20%of the drivers have above-average scores (within 80%-90%), and the remaining 20% have been excellent for their scores fair under the range of 90%-100%.
