Abstract

Product purchasing has advanced rapidly which resulted In the development of vending machines that are commonly used in the world. Vending machines provide a convenience that allows the sales and purchasing of goods from an automated machine. The researchers developed an automated water vending machine that is accessible, user-friendly, and have a sales accounting feature. The machine is a cost-effective way to distribute purified water and has the flexibility to be operated placed indoors or outdoors where they can continuously. To initialize the system, the one-peso coin, five-peso coin, and ten-peso coin will serve as input variables to start the process. The machine is able to read two inputs from the user, one from the insertion of a coin in a coin slot and the selection of the preferred mode of output from a button. The user will push the start/stop button to activate the pump to dispense a volume of water corresponding to the amount inserted. Consequently, the remaining dispensing time is displayed. The researcher implemented Sales monitoring to the system which displays in a 20x4 LCD the total number of coins in each denomination present in the machine and accounts for its sales by adding all the coin values inserted in the slot.
