Abstract

The study, “The Effects of Different Brands of Feed Supplements on the Growth Performance of Cobb Broilers” was conducted at the College of Agriculture Poultry Project from April 13 to May 17, 2017. The objective of the study was focused only in feed consumption, weight gain, feed conversion ratio, mortality and income over feed and chick cost. It was laid out in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments, replicated three times with four birds assigned per replication. The used treatments were pure feeds, Grandical Powder and Visillin (Og,2.50g,2.25g/kg chick booster mash). The study revealed that broilers with Grandical powder and Visillin have the highest feed consumption (2.43kg) than those with pure commercial ration. Meanwhile, birds fed with Visillin were observed the heaviest in live weight gain having 1.39 kg while 1.25 kg for those with Grandical powder and 1.31 kg for those fed without feed supplements. As indicated in the results of the study, birds with Visillin are the most efficient to convert feeds into live weight gain with a n FCR of 1.75 followed by those with Grandical powder (1.80) and the least were those fed pure feeds. However, statistical analysis showed no significant differences among parameters measured. Income over feed and chick cost revealed that those birds with Visillin had the highest average income of P36.91 while P33.01 for those with Grandical powder and the lowest (P29.39) without supplements.
