Abstract

The newly discovered place in General Santos City was Purok Guadalupe, Barangay Conel. Lt was lately popular because of the discovery of Sanchez Peak which makes people keep coming back to the said place until there were other beautiful places have been discovered after a couple of months. One of these was the Olarte's Underground Cave at Purok Guadalupe. The cave has a very clear and strong current of water and its crystal color that makes it blue-green just like the Palawan underground cave but this one was just small. People near this place used the water from the cave for washing their clothes, watering the plan and other agricultural purposes, and many more. The cave was good for water sources because it has a large volume coming out every second so people then made a small canal for access. In this case, some other people directly drink the water using their hands not knowing the quality of water and the infection or contamination they might get In this case, samples of water will be taken in this cave to be tested in the Laboratory at Environmental Conservation and Protection Center (ECPC) at Capitol Compound, Alabel, Sarangani Province for potable water analysis. Potable water analysis will give an idea of what is in the water that is included in the test parameters of potable water analysis. Sample water will be assessed and will undergo a natural filtration process and will be tested again. Results will declare if water could be potable with the natural assessment it had undergone.
