Abstract

One of the common dilemmas of most basketball systems is the inconvenience concerning portability since numerous wires must be interconnected before it can be operated To address this issue, the proponents created an Arduino-based basketball game clock with a 4digit wireless LED display that can be controlled through Wi-Fi. The system performs four (4) functions: Start or pause time, select to choose which digit will be edited, increment and decrement selected digit. For the system's operation, when there is no command, it will remain in standby mode. When the user inputs a command it will be directed to the Arduino and perform the action. Researchers were able to create a wireless basketball game clock using a huge 7- segment LED display. Several tests were made to check the functionality of the game clock Thus, accurate data transmission from the 7-segment display was achieved based on the results Researchers recommend the use of a Wi-Fi module or RFID as a medium of communication And the use of a high-quality microcontroller to avoid delay in time. The operation of the device will also be simpler and less costly, thus, it adds portability and convenience for the users. This can be a start of an innovation in the basketball management systems.
